This year we have the pleasure to welcome seven internationally known and successful cake designers, who will share their knowledge and skills with you. Here we introduce you these seven personalities.

Gisela Prekau - Just little Cakes

Gisi’s heart belongs to sculptured cakes. Also known as “Just little Cakes” she conquers the heart of her followers again and again with her fantastic creations. Gisi has won numerous awards in her home country, Germany, and also in international competitions, some of them gold medal awards at Cake International Birmingham. This makes her an internationally demanded teacher for workshops.

Katerina Schneider

Since she is 15 years old, Katerina is swinging her whisk. A few years ago she discovered the  passion for fondant and co. She has taught herself a lot of techniques, but has also attended many courses with great masters of Cake Design. In 2015, she was awarded with the “Best in Show” award in Birmingham. She is a coveted tutor and we have the honor to have her at the 3rd edition of the Swiss Cake Festival.

Louise Haythornthwaite - Alana Lily Chocolates & Cakes

Louise Haythornthwaite from “Alana Lily Chocolates & Cakes” is an award-winning cake artist from the UK. Her business is based in the North of England and specialises in large sculpted cakes and modelling. Louise, by day an accountant and by night a cake decorator, is married to Neil and a mum to two young children, Ethan and Alana. She is currently designing her new cake studio to enable her to teach classes and pass on the knowledge she has built up over the years.

Louise Vincent - The Rose On The Cake

After spending years of baking for family and friends, Louise Vincent from “The Rose On The Cake” started her cake business in 2014 and never looked back. She is an award-winning cake artist from the UK who combines her baking skills and her passion for painting in her beautiful cakes. With her husband and her children, she lives in Dorset. As Louise has always wanted to teach her painting techniques to other cake makers she finally started to teach classes with fabulous results and looks forward to many many more of them.

Maria Cristina Schiazza – Illusion Cake

Maria Cristina Schiazza has already been with us at the Swiss Cake Festival 2016 and is looking forward to sharing her skills with all interested cakelovers this year. She is a coveted tutor who, with her Italian flair and her exceptional ability, convinced all. She has won numerous competitions and travels very much to give courses all over Europe.

Manuela Taddeo

Manuela is the master of the Royal Icing. 1975 born in Milan, she followed her artistic tendencies and attended the artistic secondary school of Milan.
In 2012 the passion for Cake Design awoke and she attended several professional courses aimed at improving and establishing herself in this field. She won several important competitions and we can look forward to her tricks and tips in the area of Royal Icing at the Swiss Cake Festival 2017.

Maria Perez

Maria Perez started to bake early because her family had their own bakery. From her family, she has not only inherited her talent but has also learned various techniques of cake decorating.
In 2014, she took the silver medal in Birmingham. She is currently working as a co-designer and gives many different courses, but works also as an independent consultant in the development of various new products for Cakelovers.
